Any LCD plate on the network gives access to all power channels on all of the power and processor packs on the network. Basic scene editing is also available from the LCD plates. Program a whole network from any location on the network. Simply connect to the network using the Programming Kit, and you can quickly configure all devices without having to visit them in turn. Self-program on installation makes maintenance and upgrade easy. New power and processor packs automatically learn their configuration from other packs on an Evolution network, without the need an engineer to intervene. Diagnostic and Network Monitor Functions The installation of every item on the network can be centrally verified using the simple “roll-call” function. Benefits for Specifiers Evolution is abundantly feature-rich, supporting all major communication and control protocols, including DSI, DALI, RS232, DMX and 0-10v. You can therefore specify just one piece of hardware to control all your lighting requirements. You need never run out of channels, as each Power and Processor pack offers an extra independent DMX, RS232 and DALI universe in addition to 16 configurable and 18 analogue channels. Additional contact-closure controls and RS232 universes are inexpensive and easy to add to network. Scalability Evolution systems are simple to expand to meet the needs of growing projects. Extra packs are added to the system and configured using swift and simple drag&drop operations. Real-Time-Clock Each Evolution pack contains a real-time clock for event automation. There’s no need to specify additional control hardware as it’s all built-in. Seasons can be defined so that the system’s behaviour can automatically alter at certain times of the year. Words, Not Numbers Your system will be easy to understand, as all devices, channels and even plate buttons can be assigned text descriptions, rather than numbers. No longer do you have to ask for “channel 17 up 5%”, but you can instead refer directly to “hallway down-lights”. Versatility Time-saving features enhance your productivity. For example is your client decides to change a 5-button switch plate for a 10-button LCD plate all you need is one mouse-click to make this amendment in the software. Programming of DMX channels and moving lights is seamlessly integrated into the configuration environment. Security Configurations may be password protected to protect your designs.
